Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY

This is the US Commercial Lead for the Oxbryta business. It is one of two Enterprise priority brands in the US Rare Disease portfolio.

This commercialized product in Sickle Cell Disease is the foundational asset for the $5B Pfizer acquisition of Global Blood Therapeutics in 3Q 2022, and is in the launch stage of its lifecycle.  A second indication for pediatric patients was received in early 2022, providing patient access to over 90% of diagnosed patients in the US.  An ongoing trial designed to expand coverage to ages 2+ is ongoing, with readout expected later in 2024.

This role is responsible for achieving both the financial / revenue goals associated with the deal metrics, as well as changing the course of care for the recognition, treatment and follow-up for sickle cell patients in the United States.
