Job Description

Since PAXLOVID’s emergency use authorization on 12/22/21, this COVID-19 asset has helped treat over 15M patients at high-risk from progression to severe COVID-19, which can lead to hospitalization and/or death. Now that PAXLOVID is FDA approved and commercialized in the U.S., this novel protease inhibitor is positioned to remain the gold standard in COVID-19 treatment, despite competitive entry expected Q1 2025. Significant opportunity to bolster PAXLOVID’s leadership position in the marketplace continues, as new clinical and RWE data, label indications, and administration routes are all anticipated throughout 2024.

ROLE SUMMARY

The U.S. PAXLOVID Senior Marketing Manager will report directly to the U.S. PAXLOVID HCP Team Lead and partner with Global, Medical and other stakeholders to evolve and execute PAXLOVID’s congress strategy, field force engagement resources, and peer-to-peer speaker program remit. This role operates in a fast-paced, dynamic environment because of SARs-CoV-2 virus mutation and shifting peaks and troughs of COVID-19 infection rates. It also requires ongoing cross-functional collaboration, synthesis of meaningful insights to influence HCP behavior, and strong agency partnerships to help meet accelerated timelines.

ROLE RESONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and evolve U.S. PAXLOVID congress strategy
  • Lead planning and execution of HCP education at 10+ annual society meetings (ex. booth, product theater, OOH)
  • Support Professional Relations Director with speaker program optimization and execution, along with additional Peer to Peer tactics
  • Develop innovative social media materials/content for Digital Opinion Leader campaigns
  • Collect insights and metrics to evaluate performance; socialize findings with broader HCP Marketing Team
  • Work seamlessly across cross functional team members including (but not limited to) PAXLOVID HCP/Consumer/Payer, global, medical, legal, and value and evidence teams
  • Support annual operating and tactical plan development process, focused on congress strategy and P2P activation
  • Manage agency partners working CFC and congress assets

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience, MBA and 6+ years of experience, or, PhD/equivalent and 2+ years of experience
  • Pharmaceutical, biotech, device or diagnostic industry, including ability to develop deliver upon marketing strategies with proven results

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience in Marketing preferred
  • Primary Care experience a plus
  • Self-starter but also take direction and drive execution
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize effectively
  • Change agile and dependable; ability to turn around deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong project management skills
  • Demonstrated expertise and success in executing upon brand strategy and tactical plans
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with varied internal and external stakeholders to improve business performance
  • Strong analytical skills; detail and action oriented; creative
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively both one-on-one and in groups

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Position may require some travel, including weekends, as this position manages HCP congresses across the PAXLOVID team. Busy congress seasons are Fall and Spring. Congress lead can also secure coverage from other team members, so will not need to attend every congress.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $117,300.00 to $195,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
