Job Description

The successful candidate will join the Critical Reagents group to produce high quality critical reagent monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies to support the Biotherapeutics portfolio. Responsibilities include de novo antibody initiation, oversight of CROs, internal interface with stakeholders. Perform reagent modifications, characterization, and immunogen preparation.  The candidate will be responsible exploring alternate methods for custom reagent generation. The incumbent will integrate information and knowledge of these critical reagents for registration and submission into the centralized inventory for life cycle management and resupply purposes.

The incumbent should have 5-10 years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.

MOST CRITICAL SKILLS NEEDED:

  • A Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry or related field is required.
  • Experience with de novo antibody generation is required.
  • Experience in ligand binding assays is required.
  • Experience in protein conjugation is a plus.
  • Knowledge of protein characterization techniques such as SDS-PAGE, Western blot, Octet, UV Vis, and analytical SEC is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills in order to balance working on multiple projects in parallel is required.
  • Collaborative skills and effective partnering skills in a complex, fast paced, dynamic multi-discipline organizational model is required.
  • Good critical and strategic thinking, logical thought process, willingness to learn, troubleshoot and resolve issues and work across multiple disciplinary groups.

Work Location Assignment: On Premise


The annual base salary for this position ranges from $74,900.00 to $124,800.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
