What You Will Achieve

Your accounting skills will help to the team to prepare the financial reports, maintain and oversee the accounts and financial records of the company. You will be responsible for preparing the Balance Sheet monthly comments, amongst other accounting schedules and reports. You will work with local and regional structures to prepare/update some journals or accruals, ledgers, and other records of financial business transactions.

You will verify this data for accuracy and prepare reports and reviews based on it. You will also support with the maintaince as local support of Fixed Asset Module. You will be responsible for the adherence to and support of the accounting and auditing policies and procedures.

As an Accounting Analyst, your focus on the job will contribute in achieving GFO tasks and goals. Through your knowledge and commitment, you will support a collaborative teaming environment.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Identify issues proactively and communicate to Accounting Coordinator along with potential range of solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and colleagues of diverse backgrounds, including different departments, cultures, business units and countries aligned with Accounting Coordinator.
  • Support in the implementation of continuous improvement projects.
  • Engage directly with business partners on routine activities and deliverables.
  • Assist in providing key support for internal and external related audit activities, including the timely and accurate delivery of audit requests.
  • Support the accounting coordination month end close: Prepare the accounts validations under your responsibility.
  • Prepare SAP PC controls under your responsibility.
  • Execute Fixed Assets controls under local GFO scope.                    
  • Prepare all local reconciliation accounts and align with Accounting Coordinator the due dates and proper procedure. As well, support requesting the reconciliation to different owners of Banks, inventory, Fixed Assets, AR, etc., reconciliations to validate the aging overdue.                                  
  • Support Accounting Coordinator to respond to GBS Towers requirements above local GFO scope to complete Headquarters reports such as Web forms, flash sales, TB, etc.
  • Follow-up the payroll correct balances every month close: Review and ask to GBS Payroll team and GBS R2R team when the balances are not reasonable.
  • Review and update the reserves for revenue deductions that business finance and planning approve.                   
  • Participate in the physical Inventories in the LSP storage place and inventory destructions, preparing the corresponding memorandum.                                 
  • Support the local treasury Activities, such a coordinate local payment (Tax and GFO Statutory Payments), physical letter signature and delivery coordination.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor's Degree (Public Accountant and Finance background).
  • Demonstrated experience in accounting analysis.
  • Proven ability to maintain professionalism and possesses the ability to interface with all levels of colleagues.
  • Demonstrated technical US GAAP and/or IFRS experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel (Advanced)
  • Fluent in English

Nice-to-Have

  • Enterprise Resource Planning {SAP} system experience
  • Demonstrates problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Bilingual (Spanish - English)
