Job Description
ROLE SUMMARY
Fixed wing pilots report directly to the Chief Pilot. Pilots work closely with other crewmembers, dispatch, flight attendants, maintenance, and line service in order to ensure a safe and legal flight environment for passengers and crews in fulfillment of the air transportation needs provided by Pfizer Corporate Aviation.
Assists the Pilot in Command (PIC) in the management of the flight and flying the aircraft, as directed.
Active participant in Crew Resource Management (CRM)
Operates the aircraft in accordance with FAR, foreign regulations, Pfizer policy, and aircraft limitations
Maintains appropriate communication link at all times when on duty
Maintains fiscal responsibility for personal travel expenses
Maintains an image that reflects positively on Pfizer
Maintains in strict confidence all information relating to Pfizer, its executives and other traveling guests
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required
Airline Transport Pilot Certificate required
Current FAA Class I Medical Certificate, valid Passport, and Restricted Radio Operator Permit required
Excellent organization skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills (written and verbal), particularly in high-pressure situations
Fixed Wing pilots are required to maintain permanent residency within 60 miles of the Pfizer aviation facility located at the Trenton Mercer County Airport
Yellow Fever Vaccine required
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
3000 hours total time, 1500 hours PIC, 1000 hours turbine, one or more type ratings preferred
Military Experience will be considered when evaluating flight time requirements
International operating experience preferred
Corporate/VIP experience preferred
G-650 type rating preferred
Strong safety record and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of flight safety and operations
Proficient in the use of modern flight planning and navigation systems
Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to handle unexpected changes and challenges that may arise
Working knowledge of MS Office suite
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Position requires sitting for extended periods
Lifting up to 70 pounds is required on occasion
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Fixed-Wing pilots are required to maintain permanent residency within 60 miles of the Pfizer aviation facility located at the Trenton Mercer County Airport, excluding all areas east of the Hudson River.
Rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and on-call status are routine
Ability to fly on short notice; Three-hour callout
Extensive domestic and international travel is required
