Summary

Baylor College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics, Allergy & Immunology at Texas Children's Hospital is seeking a highly motivated, responsible, and organized individual to join the Food Allergy Research Program (FAP) as a Research Coordinator. The ideal candidate can work independently and in a team environment with a strong sense of professionalism.

Job Duties

  • Interviews, screens, and recruits patients for various Food Allergy studies.
  • Educates participants and legal guardians on study processes and procedures.
  • Collects patient information and enters into various databases.
  • May perform venipuncture, EKGs, and obtain vital signs.
  • May collect, process, and maintain paperwork and biological samples.
  • Schedules participants for tests and procedures.
  • Retrieves and submits test results to appropriate parties.
  • Corresponds with patients/legal guardians throughout study participation.
  • Orders supplies and equipment.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Three years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a Basic Science.
  • Preferred, not required,current license as a Registered Nurse by the State of Texas Board of Nursing.
  • EPIC experience.
  • Clinical trial experience.
  • Microsoft Excel experience.
  • Database entry experience.
