Summary

Provides patient care and technical skills in the operation of diagnostic radiographic equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes.

Job Duties

  • Prepares patient for radiographic procedures by accurately assessing the patient\'s needs and providing patient education.
  • Operates computer and radiographic equipment for image production and documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.
  • Prepares patients films for interpretation by radiologist.
  • Practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.
  • Practices safety measures in radiography and Environment of Care.
  • Participates in research projects.
  • Instructs students and staff on clinical MRI skills.
  • Prepares patient for radiographic procedures by accurately assessing the patient\'s needs and providing patient education.
  • Operates computer and radiographic equipment for image production and documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.
  • This position will be responsible for covering three satellite locations for radiological needs at San Felipe, and River Oaks.
  • Will be responsible to cover McNair x-ray as needed.
  • Be be responsible for handling C-ARM.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
  • No experience required.
  • Certification and Registration as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry or Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and Licensure as a Medical Radiological Technologistor Limited Medical Radiological Technologistby the Texas Medical Board (TMB).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Orthopedic experience.
