Job Description

Summary

This is a Research Coordinator I position that will coordinate and assist with clinical research projects involving children and adolescents with depression and anxiety. This position will coordinate the day to day duties including interviewing, screening, and recruiting patients for studies.

This research focuses on mentally ill children and adolescents with depression and anxiety. Candidates who have experience or interest in psychiatry are encouraged for this coordinator role. Team work is a must in this role with other research coordinators.

Job Duties

  • Assist in the planning, execution, and management of research projects focused on psychological functioning of individuals with chronic disease.
  • Conduct interviews for a study focused on psychological adjustment related to having a chronic illness
  • Coordinate participant recruitment, screening, and scheduling for studies about psychological functioning of individuals with chronic disease.
  • Maintain detailed records of participant information and study progress.
  • Conduct literature reviews and summarize findings related to psychological dimensions associated with pain and adjustment.
  • Assist with data entry and preliminary statistical analyses.
  • Prepare and submit Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications and amendments.
  • Ensure compliance with research protocols and ethical standards.
  • Organize and maintain study-related documents and databases.
  • Collaborate with team members, including faculty, graduate students, and other research staff.
  • Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and manuscripts for publication.
  • Communicate with study participants regarding study procedures and updates.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Three years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts in Psychological Science or a related field.No experience required with preferred degree.
