Position Summary
City of Hope is seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our exceptional team in the Endoscopy Department. As a Clinical Nurse, you will be an integral part of a specialized team that performs a wide range of endoscopic procedures critical to diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. City of Hope is dedicated to transforming the future of healthcare through innovative research and exceptional patient care. Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.This opportunity is for full-time (4 shifts per week), 10-hour shifts, and day shifts (7:00am start time).This position is also eligible for a unit differential up to $5.20/hr additional.
Up to $20,000 Sign-on Bonus Available
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Endoscopic Procedure Assistance: Provide expert nursing care and support during various endoscopic procedures, including but not limited to Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), bronchoscopies, colonoscopies, cystoscopies, laparoscopies, laryngoscopies, mediastinoscopies, thoracoscopies, and upper endoscopy.
- Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patients' well-being by ensuring their safety, comfort, and understanding of the procedures. Monitor vital signs, administer medications as necessary, and provide emotional support throughout the process.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, anesthesiologists, and technologists, to ensure seamless patient care and the highest standards of clinical excellence.
- Infection Control: Implement and adhere to strict infection control protocols to maintain a sterile and safe environment for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete medical records, documenting the patient's condition, medications administered, and any complications during or after the procedure.
- Education: Stay current on the latest advancements in endoscopy and nursing practices, and provide education to patients and their families regarding pre-operative and post-operative care.
Your qualifications should include:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
- Current California RN license
- Minimum of three (3) years related experience as a RN
- Requirement of 1-year perioperative experience or a formal Perioperative nursing specialty course completed prior to application or within 6 months of hire or transfer.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Card through American Heart Association
- ACLS through American Heart Association
- PALS through American Heart Association

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $59.57 - $86.37 / hour
