Job Description
What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking a Year Round - Technical Undergraduate Intern to join our dynamic team!
On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Work on IT projects for audit leads and management
- Review and analyze data
- Develop and design our Quality Management System
- Create and manage SharePoint sites
- Create and maintain reports using SSRS, Power BI, and Tableau
- Create and maintain complex SQL queries
- Use common office software and proprietary software to compile and build reports, statistics, timelines, tables, and presentations
- Help design processes to improve workflow
- Assist in implementing and administering policies and programs and provides counsel, interpretation, and administrative assistance on a wide variety of procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned under a staff mentor
- Provide support to IT, ES&H or financial auditors on engagements
- Perform presentations to management
- Perform training sessions to staff on the Quality Management System
Salary Range:

Our pay structure is based on earned credit hours, classification, and degree level. Your pay rate will be determined during the hire process and included in your offer package. Qualifications We Require:
You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:
- Currently attending and enrolled full time in a related accredited undergraduate program
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
- Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
- Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship
Note: If you have not earned a HS diploma or equivalent, please apply to a high school intern position.
Qualifications We Desire:
- Data Analytic skills
- Office 365 experience
- SharePoint experience
- Web development experience
- Experience using the TeamMate audit software.
- Demonstrated success in building and sustaining successful internal and external relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including delivering presentations.

Security Clearance:
Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants for employment need to be able to obtain and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
