Job Description
The laboratory of Benjamin Ebert, MD, Ph.D. is seeking a full-time technical research associate for a position at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. https://ebertlab.dana-farber.org/
Our lab uses a range of genomic, molecular, and cellular biological techniques to elucidate the molecular basis of cancer and hematologic disorders and to develop novel therapeutic possibilities. We focus our efforts on determining the genetic drivers that result in myeloid malignancies and potentiate pre-malignant states in blood cancers.Â

The following responsibilities may apply to all levels within the job family at various levels of complexity:

- Perform experiments, which may be moderate to complex with increasing independence.
- Record data and analyze results using basic statistics.
- Maintain and perform experiments with cells in tissue culture.
- Preclinical in-vivo work (mouse handling, injections and some surgery).
- Help to prepare presentations and written articles for publication.
- Prepare laboratory reagents, chemicals, instruments, and maintain equipment.
- Maintain supplies inventory in accordance with departmental procedures.
- All other duties, as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Research Technician
No supervisory responsibilities. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.
- Bachelor's Degree required with a major in biology or chemistry preferred.Â
- Knowledge of information and techniques related to either biology, chemistry, or medicine is preferred.
- Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and be able to work with a wide variety of faculty and staff.
- Ability to analyze information and use logic to address work-related issues and problems.
- Must have attention to detail and be thorough in completing work tasks.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
