The successful candidate:

Job Summary:

The Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator is responsible for coordinating clinical pharmacy services, supporting clinical staff, and ensuring the pharmacy provides optimal clinical support daily. This role involves facilitating the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes, optimal drug therapies, and safe drug therapies. The Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator will also lead site-level Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) activities and institute and maintain clinical and drug-related educational programs consistent with the organization's needs.

Minimum Education:

  • Graduation from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy (BS Pharm or Pharm D)

Minimum Experience:

  • At least 3 years of institutional pharmacy experience with an emphasis on clinical roles, OR

  • Completion of a PGY1 Residency and 1 year of institutional pharmacy experience, OR

  • Completion of a Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Residency and 1 year of institutional pharmacy experience, OR

  • Equivalent experience at the discretion of site leadership

Required Certification/Licensure:

  • Current pharmacist license in good standing with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation

  • Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) or Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) required within 2 years of acceptance if not already certified, OR

  • Exemption if at least 10 years of experience in an equivalent role

    Salary / Pay Rate Information:
    Pay Rate: $57.77 - $101.27 / hour

    The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
