Job Description
The Clowes Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Butler University in Indianapolis, IN invites applications for a full-time lecturer beginning August 2025. We seek a colleague who is committed to undergraduate teaching and working independently and collaboratively to design inclusive learning environments for an increasingly diverse student population. Ideal candidates will be equipped with strategies to effectively teach undergraduate students with a variety of backgrounds, identities, and experiences, including those historically marginalized in the sciences. Teaching responsibilities will include classroom and laboratory instruction (15 contact hours per week) that introduces both science and non-science majors to the field of chemistry.A Ph.D. in any subdiscipline of chemistry, biochemistry, or chemical education is preferred, but those with ABD status will be considered.
