Work collaboratively with physicians, Clinical Research Associates (CRA) and pharmacists to coordinate care for an assigned population of patients who are enrolled in to IRB clinical research trials. You will assist in the assessment, management and coordination of care across the continuum of care (outpatient, inpatient and home) including triage of phone calls and proactive patient communication. You will educate patients and families on the clinical trial treatments and required testing.

As a successful candidate, you will:

Survey and Regulatory Compliance Leadership

  • Directs activities and staff to maintain preparedness for external surveys through updates, tracers, rounds, and education. Keeps abreast of regulatory changes and communicates those to leadership and modifies processes as required. Develops and coordinates reports to external regulatory/accrediting bodies. Conduct gap analyses regarding standards and regulations. Report data as required and keep leadership informed of same.
  • Collaborates with others to add, renovate or develop clinical practice facilities that provide safe care and meet regulatory guidelines.

Supervisory Duties

  • Develop and achieve departmental goals, assist in developing budgets. Participate on committees as assigned. Function as a teacher/facilitator in educational efforts to orient new staff, enhance quality, safety and the culture of service. Collaborate with other departments and Clinical Network Sites to ensure the regulatory program is integrated and vital.

Communication of Strategic Information

  • Identify and evaluate performance of meaningful clinical risk metrics
  • Communicates hospital performance to the board of directors by working with the VP of Quality on reports regarding clinical risk areas.
  • Communicates with relevant parties and the Policy and Procedure Manager regarding integration of findings, regulations and suggestion to improve policy and procedures.

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • 4 years of experience with inpatient and outpatient Joint Commission and CDPH surveys
  • 2 years of experience in a leadership capacity

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $50.35 - $84.09 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
