Job Description

Summary

The Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented business operations coordinator to work within the Division of Vascular Surgery. This position provides support to the Division through tasks including the processing of purchasing orders, managing travel, maintaining inventory logs, and CME event coordination.

Job Duties

  • Responsible for inventory management.
  • Manages event coordination for CME.
  • Prepares and processes purchasing orders.
  • Manages domestic and international travel in the travel management system (Concur).
  • Composes formal and informal correspondence including, but not limited to, creating and formatting presentations.
  • Manages calendar scheduling and maintenance.
  • Assists with timekeeping.
  • Submits expenses for reimbursement.
  • Inspects and troubleshoots shared department equipment. Facilitate service calls as needed.
  • Provides additional support to faculty members as needed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
