The successful candidate:
Work Schedule:
Weekends:1 out of every 8-weekend rotation.
Hours:8-hour shifts, 5 days a week.
Rotating Daytime Hours:Earliest shift: 5:30-14:00; other shifts start at 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, and 9:30.
Rotational Vacation Coverage:Evening shift from 11:30-22:00.
Overview:Under the supervision of the Director/Manager of Pharmacy, the Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for both distributive and clinical services within the ambulatory infusion setting and inpatient units. Clinical pharmacists are integral to our care model at City of Hope, working directly with multidisciplinary teams in the Medical Oncology and Surgical Oncology units to provide high-quality, evidence-based care and discharge counseling services.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage disease states and chemotherapy toxicities through hospital policies, practice agreements, and clinical guidelines.
Perform pharmacokinetic services and ensure the safe, cost-effective, evidence-based use of medications.
Participate in inpatient rounding shifts and staff the ambulatory infusion center.
Verify chemotherapy, dispense medications, provide drug information, and collaborate closely with oncologists, midlevel providers, and infusion center nurses.
Qualifications:
Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education.
Current Illinois State Registered Pharmacist license required.
Completion of a pharmacy residency program or equivalent hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
Background in oncology pharmacy preferred.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $50.07 - $82.43 / hour
