Responsibilities

The primary duties of the post-baccalaureate researcher will be to contribute to all stages of research – including laboratory management, research design, literature searches, conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and writing reports and papers. Through this involvement, the post-baccalaureate researcher will develop the skills necessary to succeed in a PhD program in chemistry.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Chemistry or a related field, completed by the start of the appointment.
Research experience in synthetic chemistry (organic, organometallic, or inorganic).
Intention to pursue graduate studies in Chemistry or a related field or to work in Chemistry.
A commitment to undergraduate education, and a strong interest in developing teaching and mentoring skills.
The ability and motivation to work independently and in small teams, to collaborate with faculty and other collaborating researchers, and to help mentor undergraduate researchers.
