What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking a Team Supervisor, Custodial Services

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Oversee and supervise the execution of activity level work performed by custodial represented MOW¿s, ensuring calls, cases and transactions are completed accurately and timely with excellent customer service.
  • Coordinate subordinate employee recruitment, selection, training, work assignments, recognition and disciplinary actions, and contribute to performance assessments.
  • Ensure that customer needs are satisfied by managing and coordinating specific deliverables.
  • Apply specialized knowledge and experience to independently judge work quality, performance, and alignment of results with customer expectations.
  • Receive and interpret metrics and other data to identify trends and determine appropriate courses of action.
  • Identify and manage ES&H risk.
  • Review performance goals and provide coaching and guidance to improve staff performance and capabilities.

Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.

Salary Range:

$85,100 - $140,600

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Qualifications We Require:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Business/Technical discipline, plus five (5) or more years of experience in a technical field; or equivalent combination of relevant education.
  • Active DOE Q-level security clearance (or equivalent eg DoD TS).
  • Proven ability interpreting and applying MTC CBA while supervising members of the workforce.
  • Experience with computer applications/navigation of internal business systems
  • Experience with verbal and written Performance Evaluations on Represented/Union Members of the Workforce.
  • Proven abilities to provide Technical Instructions extracted from Training Curriculum

Qualifications We Desire:

  • Two (2) or more years' experience leading teams in a customer service environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with HRBP, Medical, Ethics and Legal Representative.
  • Must be able to Navigate HR Self Service Computer Applications, i.e., EBI Portal, Time & Leave, Career & Hiring.
  • Proven abilities to embrace Sandia Core Values and Diversity Philosophies
  • Experience managing internal and external customer relationships.
  • Experience working and managing in a dynamic/changing environment.
  • Communicate directly with line customers and management on a variety issue i.e., physical appearance of workspace.
  • Establish work priorities and manage resources to accomplish those priorities and achieve maximum returns.
  • Collaborate with corporate SMEs to understand a wide range of environmental, and regulatory requirements and challenges, and determine appropriate paths for work execution.
  • Collaborate with partner organizations to leverage internal resources and assist them with various projects and activities.
  • Identify areas of potential process improvement and lead activities to enhance accountability and efficiency in operations.
  • Experience supervising represented members of the workforce.
  • Strong teaming and interpersonal skills with demonstrated success working in a multi-disciplinary team as evidenced by substantive and positive references from peers or team members.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to mentor others.
  • Collaborate with Team Leads and other Leaders on a variety of Buildings Construction Projects as the Health and Appearance of Building or requirements are necessary.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage and handle control equipment i.e., cell phones, vehicles, computers, etc.
  • Proven ability to provide outstanding customer services to the board range of customers.

About Our Team:

Custodial Services has accountability for 4.7 million cleanable sq. ft. at SNL/NM. The organization primarily consists of 4 Team Supervisors, 7 Lead Custodians; and 80+ other Custodians.

Posting Duration:

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q security clearance to start, or equivalent active security clearance with another U.S. government agency (e.g., DOD). Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants for employment need to be able to maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. If you hold more than one citizenship (i.e., of the U.S. and another country), your ability to obtain a security clearance may be impacted.

If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
