The lab of Dr. Henry Lin is looking for a Research Laboratory Assistant. Under limited supervision, you will be responsible for the collection, classification and filing of scientific data. You will also be responsible for preparing solutions, labeling tubes/specimen containers and maintaining laboratory supplies.
As a successful candidate you will:
· Collect, wash, clean and sterilize used glassware, equipment and supplies using proper sterilization techniques.
· Assist in the care and maintenance of laboratory work area and furnishings/equipment
· Receive, distribute and maintain supply inventories in laboratories as needed
· Prepare simple stains, solutions, culture media, and process tissue samples following established protocols and procedures as needed
· Maintain required records, reports and statistics as directed.
Your qualifications should include:
· High School diploma or equivalent.
· Minimum of one year of related experience required. Two years of experience is preferred.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $21.00 - $25.50 / hour
The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
