Abilene Christian University seeks up to two tenure-track faculty (Assistant Professor; candidates at Associate level may be considered) in Nuclear Science and Engineering for nine-month, full-time appointments. Responsibilities include developing and expanding a new graduate program, teaching advanced courses (nuclear engineering, reactor theory, instrumentation, machine learning/control, etc.), advising MS/PhD students, pursuing external research funding, supporting curriculum development, and collaborating with the NEXT Lab and a planned molten-salt research reactor. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering, Physics, or a closely related field, strong graduate teaching and research potential in reactor systems/nuclear physics, and the ability to obtain external grants.
