Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Support Associate within Radiation Oncology at the Rutgers Cancer Institute.

The primary purpose of the Research Support Associate is to work under the direction of the Principal Investigator to gain research skills and training in advancing radioprotection and hematopoietic recovery strategies. Under direction, the Research Support Associate will assist with technical laboratory procedures and analyses in support of specialized research activities of the laboratory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Carries out research activities under the guidance of the Principal Investigator (PI), including data collection, analysis, and documentation. Responsible for executing laboratory tasks as outlined by the Principal Investigator or a senior member of laboratory team.
Performs functions as directed for experiments that are proposed in the grant, under the direction of the principal investigator and other designated lab members.
Utilizes computer skills, equipment, and technology to support the project, and maintains project-related databases.
Summarizes scientific research process and communicates project findings.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
