Job Description
Summary
The Research Assistant will provide research work that requires planning, completing, and occasionally supervising limited research projects in accordance with general plans approved by the supervisor, including studies related to child and adolescent mental health, medication effects, and developmental health outcomes in Dr. Chadi Calarge's research lab.
Job Duties
- Designs and conducts research activities and study procedures in support of clinical research projects involving pediatric and adolescent populations.
- Collects, compiles, and analyzes data related to behavioral health outcomes in research participants.
- Conducts literature searches and summarizes information in an appropriate format for specific studies involving psychiatric conditions, treatment effects, and related health measures.
- Documents and interprets results of experiments and research procedures and reports findings to principal investigators.
- May develop and modify computer programs or databases for research data management and analysis.
- Selects and determines appropriate research procedures in accordance with study protocols and research objectives.
- Oversees the maintenance of lab equipment, research materials, and study environment.
- May assign activities to less experienced research staff.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or a related field.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in basic science or a related field.
