Summary

A leading academic institution is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor to establish and lead an independent research program in biomedical sciences or a related field. The successful candidate will contribute to the institution's research, teaching, mentoring, and service missions while collaborating within a multidisciplinary academic environment.

Job Duties

  • Develop and sustain an innovative, externally funded research program.
  • Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Seek and maintain competitive federal, foundation, and industry research funding.
  • Mentor students, trainees, and research staff.
  • Participate in graduate education, teaching, and training activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments and disciplines.
  • Provide leadership and supervision for research personnel.
  • Contribute to institutional, professional, and service activities.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable research policies and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a biomedical science or related discipline.
  • Relevant postdoctoral or research experience.
  • Demonstrated research productivity, including peer-reviewed publications.
  • Strong potential for securing external research funding and developing an independent research program.
  • Commitment to mentoring, collaboration, and scientific excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in collaborative, multidisciplinary research environments.
  • Demonstrated mentoring experience.
  • Expertise in areas relevant to the position's research focus.
