Summary
A leading academic institution is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor to establish and lead an independent research program in biomedical sciences or a related field. The successful candidate will contribute to the institution's research, teaching, mentoring, and service missions while collaborating within a multidisciplinary academic environment.
Job Duties
- Develop and sustain an innovative, externally funded research program.
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals.
- Seek and maintain competitive federal, foundation, and industry research funding.
- Mentor students, trainees, and research staff.
- Participate in graduate education, teaching, and training activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments and disciplines.
- Provide leadership and supervision for research personnel.
- Contribute to institutional, professional, and service activities.
- Maintain compliance with applicable research policies and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a biomedical science or related discipline.
- Relevant postdoctoral or research experience.
- Demonstrated research productivity, including peer-reviewed publications.
- Strong potential for securing external research funding and developing an independent research program.
- Commitment to mentoring, collaboration, and scientific excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in collaborative, multidisciplinary research environments.
- Demonstrated mentoring experience.
- Expertise in areas relevant to the position's research focus.
