Job Description
Summary
The position provides the opportunity to be mentored by a leading scholar in medical ethics and health policy. Under this mentorship, the law student (preferred) will help coordinate the legal work to be conducted on the project and provide research support on a research project related to bioethics and health policy.
Job Duties
- Coordinate legal and policy-related project activities, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks
- Manage and organize project files, research materials, and data related to laws, statutes, policies, guidelines, and relevant news articles.
- Track project milestones and provide updates on progress.
- Prepare summaries, memos, presentations, and publication materials.
- Review and analyze legal and policy-related sources, including laws, statutes, policies, guidelines, and news articles.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education Required: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience Required: One year of relevant experience.
- Certification/Licenses/Registration: None Required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a related field in bioethics, humanities, public health, social sciences or related field.
- Experience in legal research
- Ability to display a professional, positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills and communication skills required and must be able to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
- Team oriented, collaborative mindset with an interest in creating value in any situation with insightful questions and suggestions.
- Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility in accepting work assignments with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, understand processes, and resolve issues.
